I have been training with Flex Fitness for approx 3 months now. From the Initial consultation Lex has always had a strong focus on my personal goals, factoring in work and family commitments. Following our consultation, she designed a plan that enables me to commit to exercise without it dominating my life or leaving me feeling overwhelmed and burnt out.

The entire programme is via an app which is so easy to use and of real value. I have daily goals set that I felt were important, including a daily walk and water intake. I have four workouts which vary in length and intensity that I can assign to a day that suits. This allows me to plan my week and decide where best to undertake each workout considering personal demands, ideal for a shift worker and busy mum, like myself. What’s even better is its negotiable, If I’m struggling, or I’m finding things too easy, it is reevaluated to suit ensuring I’m always progressing and reaching my goals.

Every workout is easy to follow with video demonstrations of each exercise which has been so helpful. The number of repetitions, rounds and rest periods are all inputted so I just have to do the exercise. I input the weight used during an exercise which is logged in the app which is great to track your progress. There is a chat feature where I can identify any concerns I have or celebrate a win. Lex is always so quick to reply, to offer support and guidance and feels like my biggest cheerleader.

I have all my macros and calories logged within the app which allows me to keep track my nutrition to compliment my training plan.

We have a weekly check in that allows me to identify challenges, wins, nutrition, goals, exercise and so on, It is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the week and plan for a successful week ahead. I always receive feedback from Lex that gives me the support and encouragement I need going forwards and never feels judgmental.

It is evident through this Lex has an incredible knowledge base and wealth of experience, she has taught me how to have a positive relationship with both food and exercise and to find a balance that works well for me and reach my own goals rather than working towards someone else’s perfection.

I can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed being on this journey with Flex Fitness from both a physical and mental health stand point. The level of support I receive is amazing and different to other plans I’ve followed. It is a holistic and individualised programme that has helped changed my mindset removing those negative misconceptions about what health and fitness is all about. I feel like I have finally found a good balance for myself, work and home.

I recently had a training session with Flex Fitness. Feeling really nervous about training in front of somebody and then using equipment I’m unfamiliar with, Lex instantly put me at ease.

She designed a brilliant all over body workout which was enjoyable but challenging. She took her time to go through each exercise demonstrating the correct form and checking I was comfortable with everything.

At times where I wanted to give up she pushed me to gain the most out of my workout and I felt amazing for it.

Her PT Studio area is a nice set up, private and perfect for anyone wanting a full body workout without feeling intimidated at a gym. Lex is always polite, friendly and so supportive.
